
It looks like Morse High School students are having a fun time at the Special Olympics Winter Games! Good luck to all the athletes participating!

The Dike-Newell School library was recently gifted ten brand new library books by the American Legion Smith-Tobey Unit 21 of Bath. Auxiliary President Sue Laflamme, Secretary Dolly Young and Sergeant at Arms Margie Russell made the presentation to School Librarian Lisa Hardman and the cast of the upcoming Cinderella play who were representing DNS students. Thanks to their generosity the library now has four books by our highly anticipated visiting author coming in May, Peter Brown.


Morse High School students prepared plants last week for the raised garden initiative.




Woolwich Central School had a lot of fun celebrating Spirit Week. It's true what they say: You just can't hide that Wildcat pride!


Students in Mrs. Hoskin's math class worked on creating business proposals for their own Hot Chocolate Food Truck. Each student needed to figure out the cost of the truck and ingredients, and then create a menu that would support paying for the business. They also created food truck models and had a "cocoa cook-off" to showcase one of their recipes. Special invitations went out and a panel of judges got to vote on favorites in different categories.



Fisher-Mitchell School had a surprise visit from Main Street Bath's Yeti this week to promote Bath's upcoming Winterfest 2024, a day of wintertime fun, held this year on Saturday, February 24th. For more information visit: https://visitbath.com/winterfest

Dike-Newell School first graders have made some impressive discoveries in music class this week! Students were able to take a familiar lullaby, identify the notes used in the melody, notate the melody on a musical staff, and play it on the xylophones. What a huge accomplishment!

Eighth grade students from Bath, AOS 93 and AOS 98 had an opportunity to visit Bath Tech and learn about the many programs offered. Students from these schools shared that their experience was awesome and several of them left thinking that they may want to sign up for one of the programs in the future. Many thanks to all who made these experiences possible and successful.






The Bath Middle School place-based writing connections class headed to downtown Bath to write in their journals.


Bath Tech JMG Criminal Justice students had the opportunity to attend the Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro, Maine recently. Students were able to hear from multiple officers and individuals in the field ranging from juvenile probation to Maine State Police. Students asked questions of the panelists, walked through a traffic stop, and toured the facility.


In Science class, 5th graders at Phippsburg Elementary School studied the chemical reactions in the process of making potato pancakes. What a yummy science experiment!


It's been a great start to the new year for Morse athletics!

Our Map, Compass & Orientating Connections classes spent a day at Pineland Farms putting their work from this Connections rotation to use! Throughout this trimester's class, students learned the basics of how to read topographic maps and some basic compass reading skills! It was great to spend a beautiful day outside navigating all the trails. Thank you Mr. Luchies for helping make this great experience happen for our students!
