ELO and CTE students recently attended the BIW Training Academy. This was a terrific experience for our students! Students spent time in the Welding Training Facility and the Virtual Reality Center, where they were able to virtually paint a ship, operate a crane and forklift, perform some welding and virtually be on a worksite.

We had a happy but tired crew of students after our ski trip to Black Mountain. It was so awesome to watch them challenge themselves and push through some tough learning moments. 12 out of the 14 of them had never clipped into skis before and it is easier said than done. By the end of the day, they were begging to keep going and not load up the van.
