REGIONAL SCHOOL UNIT 1 IS HIRING
SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS & NURSES
Substitute Teacher Qualifications:
- Successful classroom experience, student teaching or equivalent experience is desirable but not a requirement.
- Maine Dept. of Ed. Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) Approval is required.
Substitute Nurse Qualifications:
- Must be a Licensed Registered Nurse
- Maine Dept. of Ed. Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) Approval is required.
Description:
Substitutes work on an on-call/as needed basis for our K-12 district and may choose to work as many or as few days as they wish., thought we encourage substitutes to pick up at least 8 jobs per school year.
For the 2021-2022 school year classroom substitute teachers will be paid $100/day and substitute nurses are paid $150/day.

- Three letters of reference OR names & contact information for references
- Maine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)
