Great things are happening at WCS!

Pre-K has had a very busy two weeks of school - getting to know each other and learning our new school routine!  We have had guest readers and have been singing lots of new songs! What a wonderful start to our new year!

Congratulations to our boys and girls soccer teams for their starts this season.  The kids have played very well, demonstrated great sportsmanship and made their community proud.  The girls are off to a strong 3-2 start with a couple of games left in the regular season. The boys are off to a 1-3-1 start. They have displayed amazing effort, and they have had some very tight games with a couple of the top teams in the league.  Playoffs begin the week of October 7th. There will be more information coming out about location and times. Come cheer our Wildcats on!!

Friday, October 11th is a Professional Day for staff, and there will be no school for students. Monday, October 14th is Indigenous Peoples’ Day (formerly Columbus Day) and there will be no school.

Join us for this year's fall PTA fundraiser! Last year's Harvest Hustle was an AMAZING success and we have designed an even more unique program for this year!

Taking inspiration from American Ninja Warrior and races like Tough Mudder....we happily announce......WOOLWICH WARRIOR CHALLENGE!!!!

On October 25th an obstacle course like nothing Woolwich has ever seen before will be assembled on our school grounds! Students (and parents, too!) will have a chance to run the race and see if they can complete the WOOLWICH WARRIOR CHALLENGE!

Are you up to the task? Can you conquer the course!?

Watch for your student's pledge packet~ coming home soon!

We are currently sending home a hard copy of the newsletter. We will once again be sending out our newsletters electronically only, at the beginning of October. If you would prefer to have a hard copy of the newsletter sent home every Friday, please let the office or your child’s teacher know and we will be sure to get one to you by “backpack express.” You can always find the newsletter on our website, www.woolwich.rsu1.org

It’s that time of year again...the Morse High School homecoming football game will be taking place at McMann Field on Friday 9/27 at 7:00PM. Any RSU1 student who arrives in a sports jersey (school team, professional team, etc.) will receive free entrance to the game! Cost for Adults is $4, students without sports apparel $2 and kids under 5 are free!

In accordance with School Board policy, the following promotional announcements have been included at the request of the sponsoring organization because they may be of interest to students and their families.
