When is my last day of academic classes?

The last day for seniors is Tuesday, June 4.

Did I order a cap and gown?

Yes, in the fall we held a class meeting to order caps and gowns. If you did not attend, Mrs. Leeman-Hook or Mrs. Gallice reached out to you for your details.

How much does my cap and gown cost?

The cost for each senior is $30 (cash or check payable to Morse High School) and the payment should be given to Mrs. Leeman-Hook. The deadline to pay for your cap and gown is Wednesday, June 5th. Parents, please assist your senior with getting the payment to us by the deadline. If you are unable to pay the full $30, please have a private conversation with Mrs. Gallice and we will find a way to take care of the bill.

When and where do I pick up my cap and gown?

Caps and gowns will be distributed on Wednesday, June 5th at marching practice. Once seniors receive their cap & gown, it is theirs to keep.

How many guest can each graduate invite?

There is no limit on the number of guests on graduation. 

What happens if it rains?

In the case of rain, we will hold it at the same date and time indoors at the MHS gym. We are working on having an overflow in the auditorium to watch on the big screens as well. In this case, we may need to limit the number of people in the gym area to a certain number per graduate and others are in the auditorium.

What is the date/time of project graduation?

Project Graduation leaves about an hour after the conclusion of the graduation ceremony.

Class of 2024 families!  The date is near for the annual Senior Banners to be hung in Downtown Bath!  

Banners will go up on May 5th at 9am, and you can order your 'Builder Banners for the Class of 2024 using the link below, or via email at shipbuilderbanners@gmail.com 

We will also be at Senior Reception, taking Individual Cap & Gown photos, the Class of 2024 photo in their Caps and Gowns, and we will be at Commencement.

Class of 2024, 

Graduation is rapidly approaching. We have already started the process of planning for this event that marks a significant milestone in your life. The following paragraphs contain some important information to help you plan for graduation. We are so excited to celebrate with you all at McMann Field on Sunday, June 9 at 2:00 PM. 

Seniors, please check your email often as more information (and reminders) will be coming your way.

Commencement Speakers

If you are interested in auditioning to speak at graduation, please email Mrs. Gallice (dgallice@rsu1.org) by Friday, May 3 by 2:15 PM. Auditions will happen after school on May 8th starting at 2:15 PM.  At that point, you will be sharing your speech before the committee.  While the speech does not have to be 100% polished and ready to go, it should be complete.  Also, try not to worry about the performance part of the audition as the committee is mostly looking for content; the message of your speech.  More details about the auditions available to those wishing to try out. 

Marching Partners

As per Morse High School tradition, students will be able to choose their marching partners for graduation. Please fill out this form to choose your marching partner. Students who either do not have a preference or do not fill out this form by Friday, May 3, will have a marching partner assigned to them. 

Caps and Gowns & Marching Practice

The last school day for seniors is Friday, June 7th. Academics cease on Tuesday, June 4th. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, June 5-7th, seniors have mandatory marching practice. More information about marching practice will follow but seniors are expected to be there.  We will gather at McMann Field to practice the outside ceremony. Graduation will take place on Sunday, June 9 at 2:00 PM. 

Graduate Parade

On the first day of marching practice, after the initial run-through is complete, we will be busing the seniors to their elementary and middle schools to visit. This is a wonderful tradition that we have done over the past few years and is a great way to reflect on the growth our seniors have made and also impact and inspire our young students. Both students and faculty have reported this to be a big highlight of the graduation season. Mrs. Trundy will be organizing this process. Any parents that would like to volunteer as chaperones should reach out directly to ltrundy@rsu1.org. We will make specific plans for any students that joined us after completing elementary school in a different location.

These last weeks of the school year will be gone in a flash. Seniors, make sure you are keeping up with your classes so we can have a full graduation. We want to see each and everyone of you marching across the stage. We want to have the best celebration possible for these wonderful students.

May 16:  Senior Tea at 5:00 PM at Morse. This year marks the 71st anniversary of this traditional graduation kick off event. We will send out an electronic invitation in late April with a link to RSVP. ALL seniors are encouraged to attend and to invite your mother/grandmother/someone special to you.

May 18:  Senior Reception (aka Prom) at 7:00 PM at the Bath Golf Club. 

May 23:  Academic Awards Night at 6:00 PM in the Montgomery Theater. Students receiving awards will be notified prior to the event.

June 3:  Yearbook Signing Party at 2:15 PM in the Courtyard.

June 4:  Senior Assembly at 1:15 PM in the Montgomery Theater.

June 5, 6, 7:  Mandatory Marching Practice at McMann Field.
