Welcome to the last day of in-person instruction at 826 High Street! Students were encouraged this morning to take a moment to appreciate being the last students to receive instruction at Morse High School's old home. Reminder to students in cohort B: there will be no in-person instruction tomorrow as the Morse staff completes the packing of the old school. Your teachers will communicate at-home expectations for tomorrow through Brightspace. Likewise, there will be no in-person instruction on the first three days following February break (2/22 - 2/24) while the Morse staff prepares the building to hold school. Teachers will post your at-home expectations for learning on those days to Brightspace. Students who would like to have a tour of the new school before their first day are welcome to sign up for one at bit.ly/morsetours. If you would like to just see a map of the new school to see where your classes are located (https://bit.ly/3cZ8ULr). I can't wait to welcome students to our new home at 826 Shipbuilder Drive on February 25 & 26. Have a great February vacation, Mr. Varney.

Dear Morse Parents and Guardians,
Morse High School and Bath Tech are conducting a periodic drill of our responses to a threat of school safety on Thursday and Friday of this week. Morse and Bath Tech use our own version of the ALICE protocols, which include a spectrum of responses to potential threats, including lockdown, evacuation, as well as less likely responses such as barricading and countering. This drill just involves teaching and a discussion of the techniques. We will have two to three more drills this school year, where we will run through possible scenarios with students and discuss possible responses to those scenarios. Parents and guardians are an important part of our school community, and we want to make sure you are aware of these conversations. Please take a moment to speak with your student(s) about these drills and feel free to reach out with questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Eric Varney, Principal
