RSU 1 Budget Validation Referendum - June 9, 2026

On May 4, the RSU 1 Board of Directors approved a proposed FY27 budget of $47,657,517, representing a 5.88% increase in the local contribution and a 4.34% increase in total expenditures.

The budget development process began in January and included multiple opportunities for stakeholder input, with the RSU 1 Finance Committee playing a key role throughout. The District Budget Meeting was held on May 26, during which all warrant articles were reviewed and voted on.

All articles were approved as presented, except Article 6 (Student and Staff Support), which was increased by $43,390. This adjustment brings the total proposed budget to $47,700,907.

The final step in the budget process is the public vote at the polls on Tuesday, June 9.
