The Morse High School Boys Swim and Dive team traveled to Colby College on Saturday, March 7th for the MPA Class B State Championships. In 2025, the Shipbuilders won the State Championship by over 200 points but with a number of swimmers graduating - the 2026 meet had several teams vying for a chance to beat Morse.
The first half of the meet was neck and neck between Greely High School, Ellsworth High School and Morse - with our Shipbuilders leading for a majority of the meet. With about 5 events left, Morse extended their lead and didn't look back - winning the State Championship by 26 points over Greely High School! This was the second MPA Class B State Championship in a row for Morse.
Junior Fletcher McDonough won the Boys 1 Meter Diving State Championship with a meet record of 465.2! Caden Wells, Brady Chubbuck, Cam Griffey & Max Couture won the Boys 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with a meet record of 1:29.01!
