On Tuesday, Author/Illustrator Chris Van Dusen visited with WCS students in grades Pre-K through 5. He spoke about the process of writing and even demonstrated the creative process by illustrating an imaginary animal drawn using only student suggestions. Families had the opportunity to purchase some of Mr. Van Dusen's most popular books and he signed them all before he left. We'd like to express our thanks to the WCS PTA, the Maine School Author Visit Grant through the Maine Literacy Fund, and to WCS Librarian, Abby Luchies, for making this event possible!
