Hello all!
    On behalf of all of the staff at Morse High School, it is indeed my pleasure to welcome you to this new and exciting RSU 1 web page.  I hope it provides you with all the information and news you need to support your child's efforts as they progress through the RSU 1 school system.
    Let me also take this opportunity to introduce myself.  My name is Peter Kahl, and I am honored to be serving as Morse High School's principal. I have lived in Bath for the past four years, and I cannot begin to tell you how great it is to live and work in the same community.  I love the city of Bath and it is a privilege to meet my neighbors and to play a part in the education of your children.
    I know from meeting with teachers, parents, community members, and our superintendent, Mr. William Shuttleworth, that Morse is a school committed to excellence. Academic achievement, character development, commitment to safety, and a sense of tradition and community are clearly high priorities at Morse. Please be assured of my commitment to honoring your accomplishments and my hope of contributing to even greater success in the future.
    Your active participation in your student's education is the singular most critical factor in her/his achievement.  It promotes student attendance and a focus on studies, and it reinforces the importance of achievement and education. Parents as partners with the school send a very clear message to their students that learning matters. There are many ways to be involved, and we encourage you to do so throughout the year.
