POSTPONED: First Annual RSU 1 LEGO Sumo Robot Competition!

Please note that the first annual RSU 1 LEGO Sumo Robot Competition is being rescheduled due to the weather forecast.  The new date will be Saturday, January 31st, from 2:00-4:00pm.

Thanks to a generous grant from the George Davenport Foundation, middle school students from Woolwich Central School and Bath Middle School have the opportunity to learn about computer programming and engineering concepts using programmable LEGO robot kits.

Please join us Saturday, January 31st, for the first annual RSU 1 LEGO Sumo Robot Competition  in "The Pit" at Morse High School.   The Sumo Robot Competition is the first of two events this year.  Students have worked in teams of two to design, build and program an autonomous robot that will search for its opponent, and attempt to push it out of the miniature sumo ring.  This event promises to be a fun and exciting way to celebrate the creativity, teamwork and learning of our students.  Trophies will be presented to the robots finishing in first, second and third place.  Admission is free but any donations to the program will be greatly appreciated.  We hope to see you there!
