Automotive Technology

The Automotive Technology department offers foundational knowledge which is essential to a rewarding automotive career.  The automotive world is changing at a rapid rate and is becoming very complex.  The first year of Auto Technology will introduce students to the basic mechanical workings of the automobile. The program starts with safety and tools and fasteners. The remainder of the first year focuses on basic vehicle maintenance, engines and brakes.  Auto Technology II concentrates on electricity from Ohms law to the latest in computer controls. Students will be taught how to diagnose problems with the same complex computer equipment used in the industry today.
